A great way to utilized water is to have a water barrel in the garden to collect the rain water not only is this water much more beneficial to your plants as it does not contain the chemicals that tap water does.

Floor Matting

Internal Partitions.

An internal partition on a larger greenhouse will create two separate greenhouse environments as well as strengthening your greenhouse frame.

By having two separate sections in your greenhouse you can use one area as just a propagation section leaving the other section of your greenhouse as a working area.

The Potting Bench

One great greenhouse accessory is a potting bench this is because of its ideal height, which can make the back breaking task of potting your plants a much easier and effortless job and is a must have for any gardener.

Most potting benches usually have a front lip this is to prevent any spillage of compost , it also has a hole in the corner for any waste to be collected into a hopper below this hopper is usually large enough to also store any compost or pots.

A potting bench provides any gardener a simple and strong bench on which to work, whether it is on the most concentrated tasks of pluging up or just weeding with everything in one place and its ideal size makes this accessory great for any greenhouse.

 

Hardening Off Plants

Hardening off plants is a process which can take up to two weeks in the late spring and 7 to 10 days in the early summer, this process will help to toughen up young and seedling plants.

By hardening off your plants not only prepares your plants to the outdoor conditions it also give them a much better strength against extreme weather, this is because greenhouse plants are much weaker than the ones grown outside and may possibly die if planted straight outside.

One way to harden off your plants is by using a cold frame which should be place it out of direct sunlight with your trays or pots of plants into the cold frame.

These must then be allowed a small amount of ventilation during the day but keeping it closed at night, you must gradually increasing the amount of ventilation until the frame top is fully open during the day and then add some ventilation at night.

At the end of the time need to harden off you will be able to plant your plants in the garden area giving them the best start and a much stronger root system to survive most weather conditions.

Greenhouse Slatted Staging.

Greenhouse Slatted Staging is very different from solid top bench or modular staging as the slatted top design helps with the air flow around your plants.

During the autumn season this air flow around your plants will help with the control of any fungus diseases such as mould and mildew.
